The Conversol 1.5kVA Duo MPPT is an off-grid inverter and charger built for small 12V battery systems. It combines two independent MPPT solar chargers in one chassis with a 230V pure sine wave output, and weighs just 7kg, making it suited to boats, motorhomes, small cabins and other compact off-grid installations running a 12V system.

Product overview

The Duo MPPT name refers to the two independent MPPT solar charge controllers inside the unit, which let two separate PV strings or panels be managed on their own for maximum energy harvest. That is useful on boats or vehicles where panels sit at different angles.

The unit runs on a 12V battery platform and works with standard lead-acid and sealed battery banks common in marine, caravan and small off-grid setups. Pure sine wave output means it suits all loads, including sensitive electronics and motors.

Installation and safety notes

Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or solar installer. 12V systems carry high currents, so correct cable sizing and fusing matters for fire safety. Do not exceed the maximum PV open circuit voltage of 100VDC, and set battery charge parameters to match the battery chemistry in use. Follow all applicable electrical safety regulations.
