Product Description

The Kraus & Naimer KG-Series three phase AC switch disconnector gives you safe manual isolation between a solar inverter and the AC domestic or commercial load. It's IP66/IP67 rated, padlockable and made in Germany, making it a core safety component for three phase grid-tied or off-grid solar installations.

Key features

  • Three phase AC isolation, designed for use with three phase solar PV systems
  • Weatherproof enclosure, IP66/IP67 rated against dust and water ingress
  • Lockout/tagout ready, padlockable handle for safe isolation during maintenance
  • Insulated housing, Class II insulated grey enclosure
  • Interlocked switch, the switch is interlocked with the lid for safety
  • Multiple current ratings available
  • Made in Germany by Kraus & Naimer

Applications

Fitted as the manual AC isolation point on three phase grid-tied solar inverters, and used for AC maintenance disconnection on three phase off-grid systems. Commercial PV installations require a switch disconnector of this type between the inverter and the AC distribution board.

Installation and safety notes

Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in line with IET Wiring Regulations BS7671. Choose the current rating that matches the AC output of the inverter it will protect. The switch must be rated for the full load current of the connected inverter.
