10mm² MC4-Compatible Solar Connectors Pair IP67 1500V DC | Voltacon

This pair of MC4-compatible connectors is made for 10mm² solar PV cable, rated to 1500V DC and IP67 waterproof. One male coupler, one female coupler and crimps are included, giving you everything needed for a single cable joint. They suit long PV strings running over 25 metres from the inverter, or setups where paralleled strings push the DC current higher.

Applications

Use these on PV strings where the run from panel to inverter is long, or where multiple strings are combined and the cable is carrying more current as a result. They are not suitable for 4mm² or 6mm² cable; fitting them to a smaller cross-section gives a poor crimp, risks arcing, and is a fire hazard. Match the connector to the cable size you're actually using.

Fitting notes

A proper MC4 crimp tool is needed to get full contact engagement on the pins. Check each connection before the panel goes live, and strip the cable to the correct length before crimping.
