Product overview

A ratchet mechanism is what separates a reliable crimping tool from a basic one. It locks the handles together and only opens once the die has travelled its full distance, so the crimp depth stays consistent no matter how tired your hands are by the end of a rooftop. Partial crimps are a common cause of MC4 connection failure, especially on 10mm² cable where more force is needed to seat the terminal properly.

The magnetic locator keeps the terminal aligned in the die before you squeeze the handles, which matters when you are working at height or in an awkward position.
