Applications

Connector compatibility

The PV-ST01 MC4-compatible connectors mate with the connectors fitted to most crystalline and thin-film panels, and with the MC4 inputs on Victron SmartSolar and BlueSolar MPPT charge controllers. Pre-assembled termination avoids the risk of a poor field crimp, which can lead to arcing or early connector failure.

Installation notes

These cables carry voltage whenever the panels are in light, and there is no way to isolate a string without a dedicated DC isolator switch. Connections should be made by a qualified electrician or MCS-accredited installer. Do not mix connector brands within the same string, since mismatched MC4-type connectors can arc and void warranties. UK grid-connected systems should meet G98 or G99 requirements as applicable.
