Product Description

A DC isolator switch from ABB, built for solar PV string disconnection. This 3-pole switch disconnector is rated to 1000VDC and 32A, giving installers a way to safely disconnect DC circuits under load at the inverter or inside a combiner box.

Applications

Fits into residential and commercial solar PV systems where a dc isolator switch solar installation calls for string isolation. Typical locations are inverter DC inputs and combiner boxes, where on-load disconnection is needed for maintenance or emergency shutdown.

Installation and safety notes

DC solar circuits carry dangerous voltages even when the AC side is switched off. This switch must be installed by a qualified electrician, in line with IET Wiring Regulations.
