How it works

The Orion-Tr Smart takes power from a vehicle or vessel's primary battery and charges a secondary service battery using a proper multi-stage profile rather than a simple voltage drop. That matters for lithium and AGM batteries, which need accurate charge termination to avoid damage. Being non-isolated, it's suited to the standard arrangement in most 24V vehicle and marine systems where the two banks share a common negative.

All Bluetooth hardware is built into the unit itself, so charge profiles, voltage thresholds and engine detection sensitivity can all be adjusted from the app without extra parts. For lithium setups with a Victron BMS, the remote on/off terminal gives the BMS a direct way to stop charging if cell voltages move outside safe limits.

Installation notes
