This Ledison LED strip combines RGB colour with a white channel in a single 5 metre run, controlled from a phone app over Bluetooth or WiFi. It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control, and comes with a remote controller for use without the app.

Setup and app control

The strip pairs with the Smart Life app, available for iOS and Android. Plug the strip in, turn the power off for five seconds, then switch it on and off three times in sequence until the light starts blinking rapidly, which puts it into pairing mode. From there, open the Smart Life app, create an account, tap the plus button on the Home screen, choose the Lighting category, then select Strip Lights (BLE+WiFi) and follow the steps shown on screen.

Applications

Suited to under-cabinet lighting, shelving, coving and other decorative runs where colour changing and white light are both wanted from one fitting, with the option of controlling it by voice, app or the supplied remote.
