The Victron Blue Smart IP67 12/13(1) is a single-output 12V 13A battery charger with a CEE 7/7 (Schuko) mains plug, built for use in wet or dusty environments where a standard charger would not survive. The sealed IP67 enclosure means it can be mounted in engine bays, bilge areas or outdoor cabinets without a separate weatherproof housing.

How it works

Rather than running a fixed timer, the charger reads the battery's voltage and current response and adjusts the charge profile accordingly. Lithium batteries need the LiFePO4 profile selected manually in VictronConnect before charging begins; lead-acid batteries can use the recondition function after deep discharge. VictronConnect also shows live charge voltage, current and algorithm phase, and lets you adjust absorption voltage, float voltage and charge current without opening the unit.

Applications

The IP67 rating suits marine bilge and deck-level mounting, motorhome under-floor or engine bay installation, off-grid cabins with partially exposed enclosures, and workshop or fleet charging where units get dusty or wet during wash-down. It also works for standby maintenance of 12V lead-acid or lithium banks in industrial or telecoms settings.

Installation notes

Set the correct battery chemistry profile in VictronConnect before first use, particularly for lithium batteries. Mount with some ventilation even though the case is sealed, as the charger generates heat in operation. Size DC cabling and fusing to the battery manufacturer's recommendations, and follow the relevant wiring standards for marine or vehicle installations.
