Single Phase Off-Grid System with 8kW Conversol MAX

Single phase off-grid system with 8kW Conversol MAX.

Voltacon installed a domestic off-grid system built around an 8kW Conversol MAX inverter, delivering a 16kW power supply for a 5-bedroom house.

This configuration is one of the most requested setups Voltacon supplies. It doesn't require a licence or DNO approval, and the inverters don't feed power back to the grid, so the consumer has flexibility over how they use the energy they produce.

The system has built-in redundancy. If one inverter fails, the other keeps supplying electricity, giving the household backup even in a worst-case scenario. It's sized to run a full 5-bedroom house, and it only switches back to grid power on rare occasions when extra energy is needed.

A programmable timer connects the inverter to the mains to charge the batteries during low-cost tariff periods, reducing running costs further.

The batteries installed in this system store 30kWh, with capacity to add more batteries at any time as demand grows.
