Product Description
The Victron Phoenix Inverter 48/3000 230V VE.Bus converts 48V DC battery power into 230V AC at 3000VA continuous output. It produces a pure sine wave, so it can run sensitive electronics and motor-driven loads without issue. The VE.Bus interface lets it work as a single unit or as part of a larger parallel or three-phase system.
Key features of the Victron Phoenix Inverter 48/3000
- Output, 3000VA continuous at 230V AC from a 48V DC battery bank.
- Waveform, pure sine wave, suitable for sensitive AC loads.
- VE.Bus interface, allows parallel operation with multiple units and three-phase configuration, plus connection to Victron GX monitoring devices and VEConfigure.
- PowerControl and PowerAssist, supported when used with a Victron Multi or in compatible setups.
- Protection, over-temperature, overload, short circuit and low battery voltage shutdown.
- Cooling, automatic load-dependent fan speed control to reduce noise at partial loads.
- Weight, 18.3 kg, in a compact wall-mountable case.
Applications
The 48V battery voltage suits larger off-grid systems, where it reduces cable losses compared with 12V or 24V setups. At 3000VA it can handle lighting, power tools, refrigeration and computing loads, depending on the battery capacity behind it. Because VE.Bus supports up to six units in parallel or split-phase and three-phase arrangements, the Phoenix 48/3000 fits installations that may need to scale, or that require three-phase AC. It also connects to Victron GX devices such as the Cerbo GX, giving visibility of system performance through the VRM portal.
Typical uses include off-grid cabins and remote buildings, marine and vehicle installations, and backup power for critical equipment on commercial or agricultural sites. It also integrates into wider Victron systems alongside MPPT charge controllers and lithium or lead-acid battery banks.
Installation notes
This is a 48V DC, 3000VA unit and should be installed by a qualified electrician or accredited installer experienced with battery-based power systems. DC cabling must be rated for the current at 48V, with appropriate DC fusing between battery bank and inverter. Any grid-connected or grid-backup application must meet current UK wiring regulations and network operator requirements. VE.Bus configuration requires the Victron toolset.
