Product Description

The Victron Nucleo GX is a compact GX device that gives Victron installations system monitoring and control without a built-in display. It suits solar installers and off-grid professionals who want a cost-effective GX solution where a panel or screen is handled separately.

Key features

  • Weight, 0.18 kg, a compact and lightweight form factor.
  • Connectivity, links to VictronConnect and the Venus OS ecosystem, with remote monitoring through the VRM portal.
  • Compatibility, works with the full range of Victron GX-compatible products including MultiPlus, Quattro, MPPT charge controllers and battery monitors.
  • Headless design, no built-in display, suited to systems monitored remotely or via an external panel.
  • Platform, runs Venus OS, supporting data logging, system overview and alarm management.

Product overview

Running the same Venus OS found across the GX range, the Nucleo GX has access to real-time system data, VRM cloud connectivity, DVCC and integration with compatible battery management systems. With no integrated screen, it is typically paired with VRM portal access or a separate GX Touch display.

Its size and weight make it practical for panel-mounted installations where a larger GX device would be impractical. It gives installers the GX communication layer without the cost or bulk of a bigger unit, particularly where display duties are handled elsewhere.

Applications

  • Off-grid solar installations needing GX monitoring without a built-in display.
  • Marine and vehicle installations where space and weight matter.
  • Backup power systems using MultiPlus or Quattro inverter/chargers with remote VRM monitoring.
  • Commercial installations aggregating system data centrally via VRM.
  • Retrofit GX upgrades to existing Victron systems lacking a GX communication device.

Installation notes

Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or experienced Victron installer familiar with Venus OS and Victron system architecture. Confirm connected devices run compatible firmware before commissioning. VRM portal connectivity needs an active internet connection via Ethernet or a compatible USB Wi-Fi adapter.
