The Victron EnergyMeter ET112 is a single-phase energy meter measuring AC energy flow at up to 100A. It connects to Victron GX devices for real-time monitoring of grid consumption, solar production or generator output.

How it works

The ET112 connects to a GX device over RS-485 Modbus via a USB to RS-485 interface. Once configured, it reports live power data so the GX device can adjust inverter/charger output based on actual grid import or export figures. In an ESS installation it is typically placed at the grid connection point. It can also monitor a PV inverter that lacks native Victron communication support. The 100A rating suits most single-phase residential and light commercial connections.

Installation notes

The ET112 should be installed by a qualified electrician, wired in-line with the AC supply at the measurement point. A USB to RS-485 interface is required for communication with the GX device and is not included.
