Product Description
The Victron EM24 is a 3-phase energy meter built for use with Victron GX devices. It reads energy consumption and generation across all three phases and connects over Ethernet, giving installers real-time data for grid management on commercial, industrial and larger residential solar systems.
Victron EM24 ethernet energy meter: key features

How it fits into a Victron system
The EM24 connects directly to a Victron GX device over Ethernet, so no extra converter or gateway is needed. Because it reads energy flow in both directions, it correctly accounts for grid consumption and export. Placed at the grid connection point, it lets the GX system calculate self-consumption, import and export figures. Positioned on a sub-circuit instead, it can monitor a specific load or generator input.

Installation notes
Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, connecting directly into the AC distribution board or consumer unit at the measurement point. For grid-connected solar PV systems in the UK, work must comply with G98 or G99 requirements as applicable, carried out by an MCS-accredited installer or suitably qualified engineer. Check GX device firmware is up to date before fitting.
