Mobile Power Station 1600W | Victron EasySolar AGM Solar Kit

This mobile solar power kit is built around the Victron EasySolar 12/1600/70-16, an all-in-one inverter-charger with an integrated 100/50 MPPT solar charge controller. Aimed at motorhomes, campervans and vans, it delivers 1600W of pure sine wave 230VAC output from a 12V AGM battery bank, charged by a 425W monocrystalline solar panel. A DC-DC charger tops up the leisure battery from the vehicle alternator while driving.

Product overview

The EasySolar combines inverter, battery charger and MPPT solar controller in one unit, cutting down on wiring and installation time. At 1600W the 12V system covers most leisure loads: lighting, laptops, small appliances and low-power kitchen equipment.

The Orion-Tr Smart isolated DC-DC charger keeps the leisure battery topped up from the vehicle's 12V alternator whenever the engine is running, so charging doesn't depend on solar alone. Its isolated design keeps the leisure battery circuit separate from the starter battery.

The Bluetooth battery energy monitor gives state of charge, voltage, current and power consumption on a smartphone, with no extra display hardware needed.

Installation and safety notes

Connections must be made by someone competent in 12V leisure electrical systems. The EasySolar unit and DC wiring should be installed following Victron's installation manual and, where applicable, BS EN ISO 10133 for small craft electrical systems. Allow adequate ventilation around the unit and do not exceed the MPPT controller's rated input voltage.
