Product Description
This Victron current transformer converts up to 100A of AC current into a 50mA signal, letting the MultiPlus-II inverter/charger monitor grid or load current without direct high-current wiring in the sensing circuit. It has a 1 metre cable and is supplied for use with the MultiPlus-II range.

How it works
A current transformer clamps around a live conductor and outputs a scaled-down signal proportional to the current flowing, up to its rated 100A. The MultiPlus-II reads this 50mA signal in real time to track AC input or output current, which supports grid interaction control and energy monitoring through the GX ecosystem. This is required for functions such as grid current limiting and ESS control, where the inverter needs to know the actual current at the grid connection point.

Installation notes
Fitting must be carried out by a qualified electrician, since it involves working near live mains conductors within a consumer unit or distribution board. The MultiPlus-II must be configured to recognise the CT input before commissioning. UK grid-connected systems must meet G98 or G99 requirements as applicable, and the 100A rated primary current must not be exceeded.
