The Victron Blue Smart IP67 24/8(1) is a single-output 230V mains charger for 24V battery banks, rated at 8A and built for permanent installation in wet or exposed locations. The IP67 enclosure is dustproof and protected against temporary immersion up to 1 metre, so no extra weatherproof housing is needed.

Product overview

The unit is designed to be mounted in a fixed position where it will see moisture, spray or condensation: bilge compartments, engine bays, vehicle underfloor spaces and outdoor battery enclosures. The CEE 7/7 plug connects straight into a standard socket, so there is no mains hardwiring at installation.

VictronConnect gives real-time charge status, algorithm selection, battery capacity settings and charge history from a phone or tablet. This matters for chargers fitted somewhere hard to reach. A dedicated LiFePO4 algorithm skips the float and recondition stages that don't suit lithium chemistry, and the recondition step on lead-acid batteries applies a controlled overcharge to recover stratified or partially sulphated cells. The charger won't begin charging a battery that's deeply discharged below a safe threshold without a manual override.
