The Victron Blue Smart IP22 24/16 is a three-output battery charger with Bluetooth built in, charging 24V lead-acid and lithium battery banks at up to 16A. Charge profiles and status are managed from the VictronConnect app on a phone or tablet, no dongle needed.

How the adaptive charging works

Absorption time adjusts based on how the battery responds during the bulk phase. A deeply discharged battery gets a longer absorption period; a battery already in good condition cycles through more quickly. The three output terminals let one unit maintain up to three separate battery banks at once, sharing the 16A total capacity between them, which suits top-up and maintenance charging rather than simultaneous rapid bulk charging of all three.

Installation notes

Connects to a standard 230V UK mains socket via the fitted plug. Output cables should be correctly rated and battery connections secure and appropriately fused. For lithium installations, confirm the battery BMS is compatible with the lithium charge profile first. The IP22 rating covers dripping water, not direct rain or spray, so plan the mounting location accordingly. Fixed wiring should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
