How it works

The sensor uses a current transformer clamp. It fits around a single live conductor and outputs a signal proportional to the current flowing through it. The GX device reads this signal and shows real-time wattage and energy data locally and in the VRM portal. No additional shunt or meter is needed for basic current monitoring.

It is a factory-terminated unit with a fixed cable and connector, designed to plug directly into compatible Victron GX hardware. Check your GX device documentation to confirm an AC sensor input is free before ordering multiple units.

Installation notes

The sensor clamps around a single conductor only. Do not clamp around a twin-and-earth or multicore cable, as this gives an incorrect or zero reading. Confirm GX device firmware is up to date for full compatibility.
