Product Description

The Victron Inverter 24/5000 230V VE.Bus (PIN245020000) is a 5000VA pure sine wave inverter for 24V DC battery systems, built to supply 230V AC to demanding loads in off-grid, marine and vehicle installations.

Key features

  • Continuous output, 5000VA at 230V AC pure sine wave.
  • DC input, runs from a 24V nominal battery bank.
  • VE.Bus interface, links with other Victron VE.Bus units, GX devices and remote panels.
  • Parallel and three-phase capable, stack multiple VE.Bus inverters for higher capacity or three-phase output.
  • VEConfigure compatible, set thresholds, transfer settings and protection parameters through Victron's software.
  • Protection, built-in over-temperature, overload and short-circuit protection.
  • Weight, 28 kg.

Applications

Suited to off-grid cabins, lodges and remote buildings needing high-power AC from a battery bank, and to marine vessels running 24V DC systems that need 230V AC output. It also fits large vehicle and mobile installations such as coaches, expedition vehicles and broadcast units, and backup power for commercial or industrial premises with an unreliable mains supply. Multiple units can be stacked using VE.Bus parallel or three-phase configuration, and the system can be monitored through a Cerbo GX and the VRM portal.

Standalone inverter

This is an inverter only, not an inverter-charger: it has no built-in battery charger or AC transfer switch, so charging needs to be handled separately, by a solar charge controller or a dedicated charger.

What's included

  • Victron Inverter 24/5000 230V VE.Bus unit (PIN245020000)

Installation notes

The 24/5000 draws high continuous current at full load, so DC cabling, fusing and busbars must be sized correctly. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or accredited installer familiar with DC systems and Victron equipment. Any connection to the mains supply must meet current UK wiring regulations (BS 7671) and relevant DNO requirements. Configuring the VE.Bus interface requires Victron's VEConfigure software and an MK3-USB adapter or suitable interface cable.
