Product Description

The Victron Inverter 12/375 is a 12V DC to 230V AC pure sine wave inverter built for small off-grid and mobile power setups. It delivers 375VA continuous output through an IEC socket, and connects via VE.Direct for monitoring and configuration. Installers fitting out campervans, boats, small cabins and backup circuits with a modest AC load will find it a compact fit.

Key features of this Victron inverter

  • Output, 375VA continuous, 230V AC pure sine wave from a 12V DC input.
  • Connector, IEC output socket for straightforward appliance connection.
  • Monitoring, VE.Direct port works with Victron's GX devices or the VictronConnect app.
  • Weight, 3.2kg, suited to space-constrained installations.
  • Protection, built-in low battery voltage, over-temperature and overload protection.

Applications

The 375VA rating suits lighting circuits, small power tools, laptop chargers and similar loads rather than kettles or heaters. It's a common choice for campervan and motorhome 230V supply from a 12V leisure battery, marine installations wanting an IEC output, small off-grid cabins or sheds, and backup power for low-draw equipment like routers or lighting.

Monitoring and setup

The VE.Direct port lets an installer read real-time data and fault history through the VictronConnect app over Bluetooth, using a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle, or a direct USB connection, without needing a full GX system. That keeps commissioning and fault-finding simple on smaller installs.

Installation notes

Fit this inverter with correctly rated DC cabling kept as short as practicable to limit voltage drop, and fuse the battery connections close to the terminals. The unit isn't grid-connected, so it doesn't need G98 or G99 notification. Give it enough ventilation to avoid thermal shutdown, and have the work carried out by someone competent with 12V DC and 230V AC systems.
