Product Description

This pre-assembled metallic consumer unit gives RCD and MCB protection for single phase solar inverters rated between 1kW and 5kW. It arrives fitted with a 63A 30mA RCD and a correctly rated MCB, with cable glands already included, so it is ready to wire in. Four versions are available to match inverter ratings of 1kW, 1.5kW, 3kW and 5kW.

Applications

Used for AC output protection on single phase off-grid solar inverters from 1kW to 5kW, and for protecting the AC connection on grid-tied solar inverter installations.

Installation and safety notes

Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The consumer unit needs to be wired, earthed and protected in line with BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations. Every inverter AC output connection to a building's consumer unit or distribution board should include RCD protection of this kind.
