Product Description

The Volta-Switch BYT Series DC isolator switch gives safe DC string isolation for residential and commercial solar PV systems from 1kW to 20kW. Rated 32A at up to 1200VDC, it's built into an IP66 enclosure and certified to IEC60947-3 and AS60947.3 DC-PV2, with 3ms arc suppression built in.

Applications

Fitted as the DC string isolation point in residential and commercial solar PV installations up to 1200VDC. It also gives a maintenance disconnection point between the panels and the inverter, with bus bar link connectors included for wiring.

Installation and safety notes

DC solar circuits carry dangerous voltages. This isolator must be installed by a qualified electrician. Never operate it under load, and do not exceed the 1200VDC maximum rating.
