The Victron Smart BatteryProtect 12/24V-100A is a load disconnect device that protects 12V and 24V batteries from deep discharge. It suits off-grid solar systems, marine installations and motorhomes, disconnecting non-essential loads at a programmable voltage threshold to preserve battery capacity and extend battery life.

How it works

The unit monitors battery voltage continuously and disconnects the load circuit once voltage drops below the configured threshold, preventing deep discharge. When the battery recovers to the reconnect threshold after charging, the load connection is restored automatically. Both thresholds are set via Bluetooth in the VictronConnect app, with no DIP switches or physical access needed. The alarm output activates above the disconnect threshold, giving loads such as inverters or data loggers time for a controlled shutdown. The remote on/off input lets a BMS or charge controller switch the unit off when required.

Installation notes

This is a load-side disconnect device and must not be fitted between a battery and a charger or solar charge controller.
