Product Description

The ABB OVR T2 PV 40-1500 P QS is a Type 2 surge protection device built for photovoltaic strings running up to 1500VDC. Fitted with removable cartridges and Y-configuration wiring, it shields solar panels and inverters from indirect lightning strikes and induced overvoltages.

Applications

This DC surge protection device is fitted in DC combiner boxes and at string inverter DC inputs, giving PV surge protection to solar panels and inverters in residential and commercial installations.

Installation notes

Install in parallel with the DC cables of the solar PV string. Fitting must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with IET Wiring Regulations.
