Product Description

This 2-pole DC moulded case circuit breaker gives overload and short circuit protection for solar PV strings and battery systems at voltages up to 500VDC. It suits large solar PV combiner boxes, energy storage systems and high current battery protection setups where a reliable dc breaker for solar arrays is needed.

Applications

Fitted as DC string protection in large commercial solar PV combiner boxes, and used for battery bank or energy storage system overcurrent protection. It also works as DC bus protection in off-grid and hybrid solar installations.

Installation and safety notes

DC circuits carry dangerous voltages and high fault currents. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Never operate or connect the breaker under load without first confirming the circuit is de-energised. Work must comply with IET Wiring Regulations for DC installation.
