Ledon make retrofit LED bulbs for ordinary fittings, which is the simplest lighting upgrade there is: the fitting stays, the lamp changes.

The range covers GU10 and MR16 spots, E27 and B22 lamps for pendants and standard fittings, and E14 candles and golf balls for chandeliers and wall lights. Colour temperatures run from 2000K, which is close to the warm glow of a dimmed halogen, up through 2700K domestic warm white.

Check whether you need dimmable before ordering. A non-dimmable lamp on a dimmer circuit will flicker, buzz or refuse to start, and it is the single most common cause of a bulb being sent back.
