Topaz Yacht

Voltacon supplied LED lighting for the bedrooms, bathrooms and dining areas aboard Topaz, a super yacht designed by British designer Tim Heywood and worth £400 million ($527 million), making it the 6th most expensive yacht in the world.

Engineers on the project specified DALI controlled LED lights. Voltacon was chosen for its established reputation in the marine and shipping industry and because its LEDs were compatible with the yacht's existing DALI system. The digitally dimmable lights let the crew set the atmosphere in each space while keeping energy use down and meeting current lighting industry standards.

Voltacon built the lights to the exact specifications set by the yacht's engineers. A warm white colour temperature of 2700k was chosen, using ultra bright LED chips to create a cosy, hospitality-style ambience that is gentle on the eye.
