The Victron Inverter 24/2k5 230V Smart is a pure sine wave inverter built for off-grid and backup power systems running from a 24V battery bank. It delivers up to 2,400W of continuous power at 25°C and includes built-in Bluetooth for wireless monitoring and setup through the VictronConnect app.

Victron power inverter for off-grid and backup use

Running from an 18.6V to 34V DC input, the 24/2k5 delivers 2,400W continuously at 25°C, derated to 2,200W at 40°C and 1,500W at 65°C. Maximum efficiency is 94%, with a no-load draw of 10W, reduced to 1.6W in ECO mode. This makes it suited to installations where the unit spends long periods on standby, such as off-grid cabins, vehicles and backup systems.

Bluetooth is built in, so no separate interface is needed for commissioning. VE.Direct gives a wired connection to compatible Victron devices, including the Color Control GX and other GX-series monitors. ECO mode thresholds and low battery shutdown behaviour are all set through VictronConnect.

Build and environment

The steel enclosure measures 509 x 219 x 125mm and weighs 13kg. Battery connections use M8 bolts, with screw terminals for AC, suited to permanent fixed wiring. It is rated IP21 and tested to EN-IEC 60335-1, with ECE R10-5 compliance for mobile installations. The operating temperature range of -40°C to 65°C covers cold-climate off-grid sites and vehicle fitments.
