Built for the Cold — Self-Heating Down to -20°C
Standard lithium batteries hate the cold. Charge them below freezing and you risk permanent cell damage. The Fidus Pro solves this properly — heating elements are integrated directly between the lithium pouch cells, warming the battery from the inside out before charging begins.
The result is safe, reliable operation from -20°C all the way up to 55°C. Whether it's installed in an unheated garage, an outbuilding or an outdoor enclosure in a Scottish winter, the Fidus Pro handles it without any manual intervention. The heating activates automatically when needed.
How the Heating Works
When ambient temperature drops, the BMS triggers the internal heating element to bring the cells up to a safe operating temperature before allowing charge current to flow. From -20°C, the battery can reach operating temperature in approximately 2 hours. No external heaters, no timers, no workarounds.
IP65 Housing — Designed for Where Other Batteries Can't Go
The Fidus Pro carries a full IP65 rating, making it dust-tight and protected against water jets. Pair that with C5-M anti-corrosion protection — the same standard used in marine and industrial environments — and you have a battery that's genuinely suitable for garages, plant rooms, outbuildings, covered outdoor areas and anywhere humidity or dust is a concern.
The standard US5000C was an indoor-only product. The Fidus Pro removes that restriction entirely.
Monitor, Update and Manage via the Pylontech App
The Fidus Pro connects to the Pylontech cloud via Wi-Fi, giving you real-time battery data, state of health reporting and — crucially — remote firmware updates without any engineer visit. Everything is managed through the Pylontech app.
Bluetooth is also supported for local access, alongside the familiar LED status display on the unit itself. For installers, this means less time on site and faster diagnostics. For homeowners, it means visibility of their system from anywhere.

Flexible Installation — Wall Mount, Server Rack or Stacked
The Fidus Pro is designed to fit the installation, not the other way around. Metal stacking brackets allow units to be built up vertically. Dedicated wall-mounting fixings keep things tidy in smaller spaces. Standard server rack compatibility means it slots straight into existing cabinet infrastructure.
Up to 20 batteries can be connected in a single string, and up to 6 strings can be combined with a suitable Pylontech LV-Hub — making it equally at home in a small domestic system or a large commercial installation.
5.12kWh LiFePO4 Storage with an 8,000-Cycle Lifespan
At its core, the Fidus Pro is a 51.2V, 5.12kWh lithium iron phosphate battery with 95% depth of discharge and a rated cycle life of 8,000 cycles at 25°C. That translates to a design life of 10 years under typical conditions — and LiFePO4 chemistry means no thermal runaway risk, unlike NMC alternatives.
Continuous charge and discharge sits at 100A, with peak capability of up to 200A for 15 seconds to handle inverter surge demands without tripping the BMS.

Installation Notes
- Must be installed by a qualified electrician or competent installer
