Armstrong World Industries, a global leader in the manufacture of industrial, commercial and residential ceilings, add more value to the industrial roof by installing LED Bay Lights. The UK based factory saved 60% in lighting spend by switching from 400W High-Bay to Ledison 150W equivalent.
90 High Bay LED Lights 150 Watt replaced 400 Watt SON Lamps
The energy savings are impressive, the old high-pressure SON lamp consumed 400 Watt, from the lumen output only 60% was useful light, the remaining amount was wasted heat inside the luminaire.

During the 8 hours shift the financial benefit are obvious:
- 90 Bay Lights x 400 Watt = 36,000 Watt
- 36,000 Watt x 8H = 288kWh

The luminous flux 1 meter above the ground was nearly 550 lux to meet the lighting levels dictated by the industries regulations.
