The UOTEK UT-882 is a USB to RS-232 converter that gives point-to-point serial communication with solar inverters, energy meters and other devices fitted with an RS-232 port. It is plug and play, needs no external power, and works across Windows, Mac and Linux.

Applications

Used for RS-232 communication and monitoring on solar inverters, and for connecting energy meters or dataloggers to a PC or laptop. Suitable for any point-to-point RS-232 device that needs a USB connection.

Signal indicators

PWR, TXD and RXD indicators show power and data activity on the connection. Transmission distance is up to 5m on both the USB and RS-232 ports.
