PV Surge Protection Device Type 2 150VDC 40kA | PV-Guard-150

The PV-Guard-150 is a Type 2 DC surge protection device built for low voltage solar PV and off-grid inverter systems. Rated to 150VDC with an Imax of 40kA, it protects panels and inverters from lightning strikes and induced surges on strings up to 150V. It is compliant with EN-61643-31 and mounts directly onto a DIN rail inside a combiner box.

Applications

Fitted to low voltage off-grid solar PV strings up to 150VDC, the PV-Guard-150 sits in parallel with the DC conductors to protect the connected inverter and panels from transient surges. It suits 12V, 24V and 48V off-grid solar setups.

Installation notes

Connect in parallel with the DC PV string conductors. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. Do not fit on strings where the voltage exceeds 150VDC.
