Product Description

The Conversol 6200W off grid inverter turns stored 48V battery power into 230VAC pure sine wave mains output, with a 120A MPPT solar charger and dual AC outputs built into the same wall mounted enclosure. It holds its full 6200W continuous rating at 40°C ambient without derating, so it keeps delivering in a warm plant room or a summer loft rather than backing off when the load is highest.

Off grid solar inverter 48V features

  • Continuous output, 6200VA / 6200W, with 12400W surge for five seconds
  • Full rated output at 40°C without derating
  • 120A MPPT solar charger accepting up to 6000W of PV, with a 120 to 430V DC MPPT window and 500V DC maximum open circuit voltage
  • Dual AC outputs, with the second output programmable by voltage, state of charge, time window or discharge duration
  • Zero (0ms) transfer time from mains to battery
  • Pure sine wave output at 230VAC ±5%, under 3% THD on linear loads
  • Built in Wi-Fi with the WatchPower app for monitoring, alarms, history and remote configuration
  • Parallel capability up to 9 units, for 55.8kW single phase or configured across three phases
  • Lithium ready with a dedicated BMS port supporting CAN and RS485, plus preset profiles for common lithium battery brands
  • Detachable LCD control module, wall mountable remotely on an RJ45 cable
  • 2 year warranty with UK based technical support

Compatible with major lithium battery brands including Pylontech, WECO, Soltaro, Pytes, Fogstar and BYD.

What an off grid inverter does

An off grid inverter converts the 48V DC stored in a battery bank into 230V AC pure sine wave mains power for normal appliances, and charges that battery bank from solar panels, the grid or a generator. It creates its own AC supply rather than syncing to one, so it keeps working with no mains connection at all. That makes it suited to rural properties, cabins, agricultural buildings, workshops, remote monitoring sites and backup installations.

Product overview

This is a three in one unit combining a pure sine wave inverter, an MPPT solar charge controller and a mains or generator battery charger in a single wall mounted enclosure weighing 12kg. Total charging current is configurable up to 120A from solar, mains or both together, letting a large battery bank recover quickly after a heavy discharge or a poor solar week.

Output one runs essential circuits continuously. Output two can be set to shed at a chosen battery voltage or state of charge, or to run only during defined hours, protecting reserve capacity for the loads that matter. Non essential loads such as immersion heaters, workshop sockets or outbuildings can sit on output two and drop automatically. Output source priority, whether utility first, solar first, or solar and battery first with grid as a last resort, is set from the LCD. Where mains is available, transfer to battery happens in 0ms, so connected equipment never sees the interruption.

Expansion to larger systems

Up to nine units can be paralleled on a shared battery bank for 55.8kW in single phase, or split across three phases to run three phase equipment from an off grid supply.

Applications

  • Off grid homes, cabins, lodges and holiday properties
  • Agricultural buildings, barns, stables and remote farm units
  • Workshops, garages and light industrial units with no grid connection
  • Backup power for properties on weak or unreliable rural supplies
  • Telecoms, CCTV, monitoring and communications sites
  • Generator hybrid systems, and larger commercial off grid systems using multiple units in parallel

What's in the box

  • Conversol 6200W off grid inverter with built in Wi-Fi module
  • Detachable LCD control panel, factory fitted
  • Communication cable
  • User manual

Battery cables, PV cables, breakers, isolators and battery banks are not included and should be specified for the installation.

Installation notes

This inverter must be installed by a qualified electrician or solar installer, and the completed installation must comply with BS 7671 and any other applicable local regulations. Battery, PV and AC connections carry lethal voltages and energy levels. Fit a separate DC over current protective device between the battery bank and the inverter, with a 160A / 80V DC breaker recommended for a single unit, and fit a separate AC breaker between the inverter and the AC supply.

Maximum PV input current and maximum charging current are separate figures. The 27A figure is the current the MPPT tracker accepts from the solar array. The 120A figure is the current delivered into the 48V battery bank, from solar, from mains, or from both together.
