Hoymiles HMS-1800-4T 1800W 4 MPPT Micro Inverter for 4 Panels

The Hoymiles HMS-1800-4T is a single phase micro inverter that connects four solar panels to one compact unit, with each panel running on its own MPPT input. It suits modules from 360W to 600W and above, giving panel level optimisation without needing one inverter per panel. Keeping the DC wiring short and simple reduces cable runs across the roof.

How it works

Each of the four inputs tracks its own panel independently. On roofs where panels face different directions, pick up shading, or age unevenly, a weaker panel does not drag down the output of the other three. Running four panels from one unit also reduces the number of inverters, AC connections and mounting points needed on the roof, which speeds up installation.

Pair the unit with a compatible Hoymiles DTU gateway and each panel reports its output to S-Miles Cloud, giving installers and owners live data and fault alerts. Multiple HMS-1800-4T units can share one AC trunk line, so systems can be extended in blocks of four panels.

Applications

Suited to residential rooftop PV systems with 4, 8, 12 or more panels, roofs with mixed orientation or partial shading, small commercial and agricultural roofs, and outbuilding arrays connected to the property supply.

Installation notes

This is a fixed wiring product, not a plug in solar device, and must be hardwired to a dedicated AC circuit by a qualified electrician or MCS certified installer in line with BS 7671. The installer is responsible for DNO notification under G98 or G99 as applicable. Connect only PV modules within the stated DC ratings.
